Combined Federal Campaign
The Association of the United States Army has applied to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign. We will update when this is approved.
Securities
It may be to your financial advantage to give marketable securities—stocks, bonds, or mutual funds—instead of cash as a gift to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
Any securities you have owned for more than 12 months that have increased in value since you purchased them are subject to long-term capital gains tax when sold. However, by gifting these securities to AUSA, you can save in two ways: first, by receiving a charitable deduction for the securities' fair market value on the day of transfer, and second, by avoiding taxes on the capital gains. Be sure to consult your financial adviser for details on this type of transaction.
For more information and instructions on how to transfer your securities to AUSA, please contact Ebony Evans at eevans@ausa.org or call 703-907-2662.
Bequest/Estate Gifts
A bequest—a gift made through your will—allows you to retain control of your assets during your lifetime and distribute them according to your wishes upon your death. After providing for loved ones, many people choose to include a gift to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
Common types of bequests include a fixed dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or the residual portion of the estate. Making a charitable bequest can also reduce estate taxes. Be sure to consult an attorney when drafting or revising your will to ensure compliance with state law and to minimize any applicable taxes.
IRA Charitable Rollover/Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
This donation option is ideal for individuals who are 70.5 or older and own an IRA. A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) taken from your traditional IRA counts as a distribution for the purposes of required minimum distribution (RMD) rules. You can donate all or part of your annual RMD (up to the $100,000 limit) without having to count that distribution as taxable income.
To make this donation, instruct your financial advisor, bank, or IRA administrator to transfer funds from your traditional IRA directly to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). Be sure to request that your name and address be included on the distribution check or accompanying materials and send it to:

Company Matching
When making a donation, first check if your employer offers a matching gift program. Many companies will match charitable contributions made by their employees, often doubling or even tripling the impact of your gift.
Request a matching gift form from your HR department or your company’s online portal, fill it out, and submit it along with your donation. Be sure to include our tax ID number (53-0193361) and any required documentation. Once your employer approves the match, the Association of the United States Army will receive an additional contribution from your company.
Social Media Sharing
Sharing the Association of the United States Army’s fundraising page on social media is just as valuable as giving because it helps spread the word and broaden the reach of our campaign. Every share increases visibility, reaching people who may not have been aware of the cause, and can inspire others to contribute. Even if you can't give financially, sharing the page allows you to support the cause and make a meaningful impact by amplifying its message to a larger audience.
