AUSA’s Noon Report webinar series features presentations by senior Army leaders responsible for key programs and initiatives, as well as contemporary military authors who weave together the past, present and future story of the United States Army.
Please join us on Tuesday, 2 December, at 12:00 PM EDT to hear a presentation by revered military historian Rick Atkinson, author of The Fate of the Day: The War for America, Fort Ticonderoga to Charleston, 1777–1780. In honor of the Army’s 250th birthday, Atkinson has written this new, bestselling book on the American Revolution. He focuses on the middle of the war, the suspenseful years when George Washington’s forces were on the knife-edge between victory and defeat. A fellow historian once quipped, “To say that Atkinson can tell a story is like saying Sinatra can sing.” Join us on December 2 to hear his epic songs of the battles at Brandywine, Saratoga, Monmouth and Charleston, and of course of the winter of misery at Valley Forge.
