DIGITAL APPLICATIONS

The George Washington Chapter AUSA 2026 Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that we are accepting DIGITAL applications at C2101@ausa.org for this year’s scholarship program commencing now through Friday, 1 May 2026.
The digital scholarship application consists of 5 elements:
- Name, address, phone number, email address
- A short letter from the applicant to the GWC AUSA describing why you are deserving of a scholarship including any special family or other considerations
- Official Academic Transcripts
- Letter of Recommendation from teacher, counselor, supervisor, or mentor/coach
- Your individual and current AUSA membership number and affiliation with the George Washington Chapter (C2101).

Over the past decade+, the Chapter has awarded approximately close to $500,000 in scholarships to many exceptional, gifted, talented, dedicated, and deserving Chapter and family members. Among the many scholarships that we delightedly award annually are 4 named scholarship awards:
- The “Ed Dauksz Scholarship Award” named for our beloved former Chapter President and our favorite Marine.
- The “Major General Harry Greene STEM Scholarship Award” in honor and loving memory of a great leader, patriot, educator who made the ultimate sacrifice.
- The “Major General Carl F. McNair Jr. Scholarship Award” named for the Father of Modern Army Aviation and our long-standing and beloved Chapter Board member, former Chapter President, and stalwart GWC supporter for 40+ years.
- The “PenFed Credit Union Business and Finance Scholarship Award” named after the PenFed Credit Union for their over and above generosity in sponsoring the George Washington Chapter.
The scholarship program was established to provide recognition, inspiration, financial assistance, and encouragement to our members and their families in keeping America’s Army Strong. These awards are presented annually to outstanding members and family members enrolled in
- Trade Schools
- College – Undergraduate, Graduate programs
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Applicants must be current members of the George Washington Chapter AUSA to be eligible to apply.
- If not a member, please join at: https://www.ausa.org/membership
Member Scholarship Eligibility:
- Open to high school seniors, trade school students, or current full or part time college students who are members of the AUSA George Washington Chapter.
- 3.0 GPA (4.0 Scale) or B average in high school
- Applications MUST include ALL 5 ELEMENTS listed above.
It is very important to note that late, incomplete, or non-current Chapter member applications will not be considered.
All scholarship awardees will be invited to attend our June Luncheon at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington.
