First Lt. Brock J. Young is the full-time operations officer for the 185th Military Police Battalion, California Army National Guard. His previous assignments include military police platoon leader and aide-de-camp, and he was an NCO prior to becoming an officer. He served a combat tour in Iraq and peacekeeping deployments in Kosovo and Bosnia, and was assistant officer in charge of a detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
