More than 60 cadets from local high school JROTC detachments supported the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Game on September 11, 2021 at the Trash Panda Stadium. Color guards from Bob Jones and Decatur High Schools supported the First Responder Color Guard while the cadets from James Clemens, Lee/New Century, Sparkman, Bob Jones, Buckhorn, and Huntsville High Schools held the large 40’ U.S. Flag in the outfield during the playing of the National Anthem. This was the first time where a large number of cadets from local JROTC detachments supported the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Game. The Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of AUSA plans to expand outreach to JROTC detachments in our region to promote professional development, mentorship, and support to cadet programs.
