South Korea’s top army general visited the Association of the U.S. Army on April 12, a rare visit by foreign chief of staff to the nonprofit association’s Arlington, Va., national headquarters. Gen. Jang Joon-kyu is the Republic of Korea’s Army Chief of Staff and a member of the ROK’s Joint Chief of Staff. Promoted to the top Army post last fall, he previously served as commander as the South Korea’s 1st Army.He led a delegation of ROK officers interested in learning about AUSA’s mission as a professional association.
