Georgetown, Texas

On 20 June 2024, our Chapter President, COL (Ret) Garry Patterson and Immediate Past President, MG (Ret) Robert L. Halverson, attended the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Cornerstone Series luncheon at the Sheraton Hotel in Georgetown, Texas.

This event was organized and presented by the Military Affairs Committee of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. Our Texas Capital Area Chapter is a member of the chamber and also General Halverson is the chair of the Military Affairs Committee. With the assistance of General Halverson, this special luncheon to introduce the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce membership to the mission and activities of Army Futures Command was made possible.

Our chapter through the support and assistance of our leadership team, was able to coordinate the guest speakers for this important presentation. The guest speakers from Army Futures Command were COL (Ret) Tom Pappas, Deputy G3 Army Futures Command and Aubrey Lavitoric, Director of Small Business Office at Army Futures Command.

The presentation by these two leaders from Army Futures Command was well received and an excellent engagement opportunity for the business leaders in Georgetown to begin connecting to Army Futures Command. This was an excellent opportunity to support our community and also provide information about our Texas Capital Area Chapter and Community Partner membership opportunities.
