The AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter assisted with the awards ceremony for the Best Warrior Squad Competition Award Ceremony at Army Futures Command. The ceremony was conducted at Headquarters of Army Futures Command and was well attended with military and civilian leadership. The 36th Infantry Division, TXARNG band provide music for the ceremony.

This event was an opportunity to formally recognize the exceptional soldiers within the units of Army Futures Command and US Army South from the recent Best Warrior Squad Competition. During the awards ceremony, the Best Warrior Squad was awarded commendation medals from GEN Rainey and 3D printed trophies from Army Futures Command. Additionally, each member of the Best Warrior Squad was presented with a gift bag from AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter by our chapter president, COL (Ret) Garry D. Patterson. Each soldier was also presented with a AUSA Texas Capital Area Chapter coin and a premium membership to AUSA. The following soldiers were presented with awards and gifts at the ceremony: SSG Raycel Dasher, SGT Keenan Baxter, SSG Renado Hernandez, SSG Tyler Needham, SPC Dailent West, and SPC Peyton Martin. In addition to the gift bags, coins, and premium membership presented to these outstanding soldiers, our chapter also presented certificates of excellence and an AUSA lapel pin to SSG Raycel Dasher (NCO of the Year) and SPC Peyton Martin (Soldier of the Year). This was the third year that our chapter has presented awards to the Best Warrior Squad members from Army Futures Command.
